Arts Leadership

My partnerships with the National AIDS Memorial, San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, Living Jazz, and the Austin Chamber Music Center highlight cross-departmental leadership roles in nonprofit 501(c)(3) community organizations.

I had the privilege of curating the music and entertainment offerings for Light in the Grove - a fundraising event by the National AIDS Memorial with 100% of all donations supporting the programs and mission of the National AIDS Memorial. Each cultural offering highlighted at this event had some relevance and historical significance addressing the AIDS epidemic. In my partnership with the AIDS National Memorial, I also adjudicate submissions for their annual Mary Bowman Arts in Activism Award.

With accessibility as a core tenant of their mission, The San Francisco Chamber Orchestra (SFCO) is dedicated to eliminating the cost barrier of attending live performances by hosting admission-free performances. Embarking on their 70th year, SFCO produces nine concerts each year, all of which I am proud to contribute as their strategic marketing consultant.

Rooted in Living Jazz’s commitment to “Transforming Lives Through Music”, I’ve worked to devise and implement an equity-minded education curriculum for the public schools they serve in Northern California’s East Bay. This includes partnerships with six public schools in Oakland Unified School District and nine public schools in West Contra Costa County Unified School District. Recently, I co-curated Living Jazz’s inaugural Professional Development Workshop for our staff, which included 17 Teaching Artists.

Paralleling my previous arts administration roles within the Austin Chamber Music Center, I assisted in organizing and coordinating the nationwide Coltman Chamber Music Competition, which involved precise project management oversight, working directly with sponsors, and implementing both digital social media marketing and direct mailing in our promotional efforts.
